halftone city
Based on a simple MKV file, the image undergoes several alterations, including a halftone conversion created from scratch, from a polygon in “Distance Field” mode. Several procedural elements are then added to the image.
Additional notes
Select the Final composition in the Project Panel and inspect the “CTRL” tab in the Properties Panel. You will find a parameter to adjust the dot size.
Since the Halftone conversion produces very fine details in the image, the viewer definition has been forced to 1:1 to produce a correct result, regardless of the viewer zoom value. This means that even at less than 50% or 25% zoom, the image will always be calculated at 100% of its size with the same calculation time. You can however set this parameter back to “Auto” to reduce the calculation time, but the displayed result will be different depending on the zoom.
